John LymerChief Architect, MDAJohn Lymer, is a Chief Architect at MDA. Building on his experience as Chief Engineer for the International Space Station’s Canadarm2 and Dextre robots, and DARPA’s Orbital Express Autonomous Robotic System, John is presently guiding the development of a number of automation and OSAM enabled missions. These include the Autonomous in-space assembly Robot called SPIDER for NASA’s OSAM-1 mission, the preparation of the Gateway’s Power and Propulsion Element for replenishment by a commercial tanker, cis-lunar resupply vehicle concepts, serviceable crewed stations in LEO, and shared services platforms for RF and optical payloads, all enabled by OSAM technologies.
